SpaceSite Draft

SpaceSite End User Licence Agreement

Draft v0.1, 2026-10-01, not yet in force

These terms govern the use of the SpaceSite app for Confluence Cloud, the SpaceSite hosting service, the sites it publishes, and the Space Exporter tool. By installing the app or using the service you accept them on behalf of your organisation.

1. Parties and definitions

  • "SpaceSite", "we": Luciano Salemme, sole trader, [INDIRIZZO], VAT [PARTITA IVA], info@spacesite.dev.
  • "Customer", "you": the organisation that installs the app or uses the service. The person who installs it confirms that they are authorised to accept these terms.
  • "App": the SpaceSite Forge app available on the Atlassian Marketplace.
  • "Service": the pipeline on Cloudflare that converts, stores and serves your content, including api.spacesite.dev and *.spacesite.dev.
  • "Site": a website published by the Service from one of your Confluence spaces.
  • "Customer Content": the pages, attachments, images and metadata that the App reads from your Confluence space and that the Service publishes.
  • "Space Exporter": the free tool (web and CLI) that exports a space as a static ZIP and offers a 7-day hosted preview.
  • "Plan": the Free plan or a paid plan as described on the pricing page.

The service is for professional use only. Consumer protection rules do not apply.

2. Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install the App in your Atlassian Cloud site and to use the Service for your Sites, for the duration of your Plan and within these terms.

You may not reverse engineer the App or the Service, resell it, or use it to build a competing service. The Space Exporter CLI is released under its own open-source licence [OPEN: licence name], which prevails for that code.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to:

  • publish only content you have the right to publish;
  • not publish unlawful, defamatory, infringing or malicious content, malware, phishing pages or spam;
  • not use the Service to process special categories of personal data or data of minors without the safeguards the law requires;
  • not circumvent technical limits, rate limits or the "Powered by SpaceSite" badge on the Free plan;
  • keep control of the custom domain you connect and of your Atlassian site.

4. Customer Content and published Sites

  1. You own your Customer Content. You grant us a licence to copy, convert, store and serve it only as needed to provide the Service.
  2. A Site is public on the internet unless you enable password protection. You are solely responsible for what you publish, including any personal data in your pages.
  3. Before each go-live you must review the private preview and the "pages with warnings" report and confirm publication explicitly in the App.
  4. Pages with view restrictions are never exported. Pages with the label spacesite-exclude are never exported. You are responsible for setting restrictions and labels correctly.
  5. Author names, accountIds and avatars are removed by default. If you opt in to show author names, you take responsibility for that choice.
  6. The Jira snapshot feature, when available, is off by default. If you enable it, you confirm that the Jira data may be published.
  7. We may remove or disable content after a credible legal notice or when the law requires it. We tell you when we do, unless the law forbids it.
  8. The Service does not provide your own user accounts, comments, feedback widgets or analytics on Sites.

5. What the Service renders

The lists below are closed. Anything not listed is treated as a placeholder.

  • Rendered: text, headings, lists, tables, images and attachments (re-hosted), panels, expand, code, status, date, standard emoji, anchors, column layouts, read-only task lists, excerpt, insert excerpt and include page from published pages of the same space, table of contents, child items and page tree, recent updates, filter by label (current space), attachments, gallery, uploaded videos within the size limit, content properties, draw.io, Gliffy and PlantUML diagrams when the image is attached to the page.
  • Dated snapshot, refreshed only when the page is published again: content properties report (first page of results, rows outside the Site removed); in a later version and only if you enable it, Jira work items (Key, Summary, Status) and filter by label with advanced query.
  • Placeholder with a link to the Confluence page: Jira, Jira chart, roadmap planner, chart, calendars, databases, whiteboards, iframe, widget and embeds outside the allow-list, Lucidchart, Mermaid, third-party app macros without export, Forge macros without adfExport, custom emoji, live search and Confluence navigation macros. Office and PDF files appear as links to the file.
  • Never: comments, page history, granular permissions, live search, forms and quizzes, content of restricted pages. Mentions become plain text.

Limits: up to 2,000 pages per space; attachments above the size limit shown on the pricing page are replaced by a warning; sync is near real time and is reconciled once a day. Placeholders are visible blocks with a link; you may switch them to hidden per Site.

6. Plans and payment

Only one purchase channel is active at a time. The pricing page states which one.

  1. Free plan: install the App, preview a space, and use the features listed on the pricing page. Sites on the Free plan, where available, show a "Powered by SpaceSite" badge that may not be removed.
  2. Paid via Atlassian: if the App is listed as a paid app, Atlassian handles the subscription, invoices, taxes, renewals and refunds under the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use. Full refunds are available within 30 days of purchase through Atlassian. Price changes follow Atlassian rules, including the 60-day price override for existing customers.
  3. Paid via Polar (conditional): if, and only if, the App is listed as free and the paid plan is sold outside the Marketplace, Polar Software Inc. is the merchant of record. Your purchase contract, invoice, taxes and refunds are handled by Polar under Polar's terms. We never see your card details.
  4. One-time export (conditional): a one-time export without sync may be sold through Polar as merchant of record. The ZIP is available for 7 days. The 7-day hosted preview is not a Site and is deleted after 7 days.

If you stop paying, your Site may be suspended after a notice period and deleted under section 11.

7. Availability and support

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no service level agreement and no uptime commitment. The Service depends on Atlassian and Cloudflare, whose outages are outside our control. We may change, suspend or retire features with reasonable notice. Support is by email at info@spacesite.dev, in English or Italian, on business days.

Your content always remains in Confluence. We recommend that you keep Confluence as your source of truth. [OPEN: backup policy of published Sites]

8. Data protection and security

The Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. For Customer Content you are the controller and we are the processor under the Data Processing Agreement, which is part of these terms. Our security measures are described on the Security page.

9. Intellectual property

The App, the Service, their code, design and documentation belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer any right in them. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation.

10. Warranties and liability

The App and the Service are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, loss of profit, loss of data that remains available in Confluence, or damage caused by content you published.

Our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event, or to EUR 100 if you paid nothing. These limits do not apply to wilful misconduct or gross negligence (Article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code) or where the law forbids limitation.

You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Customer Content or from your breach of these terms.

11. Suspension, term and termination

  1. We may suspend a Site or the Service if you breach these terms, if the content creates a legal or security risk, if payment fails, or if Atlassian or a court requires it. We give notice before suspension when feasible.
  2. These terms last as long as the App is installed or a Site is enabled.
  3. You may terminate at any time by deleting the Site in the App or by uninstalling the App.
  4. We may terminate with 30 days' notice, or immediately for material breach.
  5. On termination we delete the Site, its data on Cloudflare and its custom hostname within 24 hours. Export ZIP files remain available for 7 days. Refunds, if any, follow the rules of the purchase channel.
  6. Sections 4.2, 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We publish the new version with its date on spacesite.dev and announce material changes through the Marketplace listing or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means acceptance. If you disagree, uninstall the App before the effective date.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

Italian law governs these terms. The courts of [OPEN: city, Italy] have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
